Like many of us, I started with GW in my early teens, actually I was persuaded into it by my brother and ended up playing various 40k and fantasy armies, which I thought I was painting pretty well (haha).

As many people do I stopped playing/painting after a few years. Fast forward to attending University and I was doing a lot of sport, when that ended I suddenly found myself with a lot of time on my hands at which point I started playing 40k again.

That was about 7 years ago (~2008) at which point I hadn't painted miniature for a long time! Suffice to say, results were not great...

Turns out my painting had never been that great, but gradually I put an army together which looked decent enough on the table.

Around this time I entered my first local GW painting comp, I still had a long way to go, looks like I still didn't know what shading was..

Gradually I painted more and gamed less until in 2013 I entered Golden Demon and was over the moon to get a finalist pin and eventually photos in White Dwarf.

More recently real life has been in the way and I've been painting a bit less, though I also managed a finalist pin at Salute last year..

Recently, I have been enjoying gaming again and am working on a Trollblood army for Warmachine/Hordes, very slowly.

Aims at this point are to get to painting regularly again and finish some projects, my completion rate in 2015 was awful post January so that's the aim (again!) this year. Maybe one day I'll get good enough to make another step up the competition ladder, Cheers!
